What’s your favorite Eye-Fi feature?
I would have to say that my favorite feature is just the immediate download to my laptop. Saves a lot of time, especially when on location with a fast deadline.
What’s your Eye-Fi story?
Being an event photographer, I always need something extra to offer my clients. One event, we had a large screen above the band, and I would walk around doing candid photos of the guests. Using the Eye-Fi card, the images uploaded to my laptop immediately, then was projected on the screen. The guests loved seeing their photos, and the client was extremely happy.
I also do photography for Cox Radio – Houston. The stations always want something the competitors are not doing. Recently, The New 93Q did two live broadcasts in front of the Toyota Center for the Taylor Swift concerts. I was taking photos of the listeners having fun with the DJ’s. Using Ad-Hoc, I was able to upload the images to my laptop, and using the Eye-Fi software and Clear 4G Internet, the images were uploaded to the station’s website almost immediately. We had photos online, while the other radio stations could not get theirs online until later that night.
If you could gift an Eye-Fi card, who would you give it to?
My mother. She loves taking photos around the house and yard, then send it to everyone. An Eye-Fi card would make it easier, plus have it uploaded to a photo sharing site, she could just send the link to the photos instead of emailing them individually.
What’s the latest photo/video you Eye-Fi’d?
It would have to be action photos at a golf tournament.

Hi Steven I had never heard of Eye-Fi card- can i get one in the UK and do they work with the D300s? Thanks Grant
Hi Grant,
Yes you can use it with the D300s – simply go to http://uk.eye.fi for Eye-Fi UK
Thanks for sharing the stories. I am going to get an eye-fi 8gb because I am also an event photographer. I want to be able to use clear to send my photos straight to my laptop while someone can print them out to speed up the process.
